“ I've been here before and came back after a few years, still the same and just as good. Ordered the congee with abalone and chicken, with added century egg. Alongside had the plain cheung fun with the hoisin and sesame sauce you can add yourself. So fresh and tasty! My friend ordered a plain congee with egg cheung fun, altogether was under 10. A good breakfast place to go to for congee ! ”
“ Best place to get rice porridge (congee) in Wan Chai. Fast service, delicious food and super reasonable prices. Do not expect to have an entire table to yourself during busy service hours. Walk in and the workers will direct you to an empty seat. If you appear to be lost/foreign, the workers will give you a menu with English and will give you a bit more time to think. Their rice porridge is excellent but the fried noodles and rice noodles (cherngfun) are all good. After eating, just bring the order receipt to the front of the register and pay via octopus card or cash. ”
“ Was in Hong Kong for a few days and I opted not have hotel breaky and try the local food offerings. Found these guys open early. First day I had the fish slice congee with a freshly fried you tiao. Both was delicious and really satisfying. 2nd morning I had a minced beef rice roll, plain congee with a soya milk. Super fresh and hot. Looks like this will be my goto breaky place when I stay in the area in the future. ”
“ This is Hong Kong so I am happy with the efficiency, not being yelled at and the English menu. Congee consistency was not too dense and not too watery, so for me, it was perfect. Served piping hot. I ordered the century egg and shredded pork congee, fried dough in rice roll. My colleague, who is vegan (eats eggs to prevent egg allergy) and allergic to most things, ordered the plain congee and enjoyed his bowl immensely. Service was super fast and the auntie asked in Chinese how did we like it. So made our morning start, super happy! Will come and eat here before we leave. There are also condiments and salt and pepper on the table to season the congee as you like. ”
